Position: Assemblers/Light Industrial
Assembly (Class Levels) .
CL1: Works on routine/low-skill level tasks that are repetitive
in nature and require minimal problem resolution. Receives
detailed step-by-step instructions through on-line methods
and/or direct supervision to complete required tasks. Positions
are highly repetitive and less complex. Requires ability
to communicate with other associates and supervisors in
an effective and professional manner both written and verbally.
Position requires little or no manufacturing or technical
experience. Typical positions included are loader, sub-assembly,
progressive assembly and box build. Entry-level position,
no experience required. .
CL2: Works on routine to moderately complex repetitive
tasks and require basic problem resolution. Receives detailed
step-by-step instructions through on-line methods and/or
direct supervision to complete required tasks. Requires
ability to communicate with other associates and supervisors
in an effective and professional manner both written and
verbally. Ideal associate will have prior experience in
manufacturing operations. Typical positions included are
BTO assembly, BTO test, and audit. Individual should have
a minimum of 1-year experience in a high volume assembly
environment. .
CL3: Works on moderately to highly complex tasks that are
unique in nature. Ability to recognize Manufacturing line
concerns, define issue resolution guidance to support teams
and supervisors. Receives generic instructions through on-line
methods to complete a highly variable and complex set of
tasks. Must have the knowledge and experience of how a unit
is assembled. Methods are generic and do not identify step-by-step
process. Must have knowledge of how components are assembled
into unit. Experience setting BIOS, RAID settings and Asset
tags required. Experience in assembly of all unit 1 models
required. Requires ability to communicate with other associates
and supervisors in an effective and professional manner
both written and verbally. Ideal associate will have prior
experience in manufacturing operations and/or technical
background. 1-year experience in CTO assembly, CTO test,
or repair required.
CL4: Individual works on variable tasks that are highly
complex in nature. Requires task analysis/judgment skills,
initiative and technical/specialized knowledge for resolution.
Should have solid communication skills to enable coordination
of support teams/supervision for resolution. Generally receives
limited instructions from on-line methods or supervision
on most tasks. Typically provides technical guidance and
expertise to other non-exempt associates. Requires ability
to communicate with other associates and supervisors in
an effective and professional manner both written and verbally.
Ideal associate will have prior experience in manufacturing
operations. Typical positions included are technician level
repair associates. A technical background and an associates
degree or equivalent are required with some level of college
highly preferred.
Materials Handling
MH1: Requirement for this skill is the ability to minimally
lift 40 pounds and the operation of Pallet Jack, Walk-E-Stacker,
and other IVP equipment required when consolidating inventory
into designated locations. Utilizes hand trucks, forklifts,
hoists, conveyors, or other handling equipment to move material
to and from pallets and/or trucks within the storage facility.
Requires a high school diploma with 0-2 years of experience
in the field or in a related area. Has knowledge of commonly
used practices, and procedures within a particular field.
Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to
perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate
supervision. Primary job functions do not typically require
exercising independent judgment. Typically reports to a
supervisor or manager. Minimum analytical skills needed
in order to perform this function. Entry-level position,
no experience required.
MH2: Requirement for this job gather and kit material used
for CTO/BTO builds or the equivalent assembly expertise.
Must have some analytical skills and the ability to troubleshoot
particular orders with parts issues. Some experience with
SAP required and must have the ability to print pick lists,
identify bin locations. Individual should have a high school
diploma with 1-3 years of experience in the field or in
a related area. Has knowledge of standard practices and
procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited
experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs
a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision; typically
reports to a supervisor or manager. A certain degree of
creativity and latitude is required.
MH3: Requirements for this person are to be thoroughly
knowledgeable of All SAP transactions needed in the materials
workflow. Experience with bin-to-bin transfer, reconciliation
of bins, and identify inventory variance and correct. Ability
to perform kit audits. Provide support to level 1 and 2
positions in problem resolution. This person must have analytical
skills needed to in order to resolve inventory balance issues.
This individual also will have the skill set necessary to
work any task needed by the Materials team. This individual
will be looked at as a experienced contractor with an advanced
skill set, having a minimum of 2-4 years Materials Team
experience. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and
accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks.
Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. A wide degree
of creativity and latitude is expected.
